The Aim

This module will be useful in preparing us as illustrators for life beyond our university studies and within this module we will be looking in depth at the different areas of a working illustrator's professional practice. We will start to consider our own practices and prepare for our futures working in the industry. Through the various tasks, sessions and guest speakers we will gain a stronger understanding of what it is to be an illustrator learning from first hand experiences and a history inside the illustration industry. As part of this module we will not only be learning and hearing about working as an illustrator but hopefully begin getting our own hands-on experience in the industry with getting work experience, be this selling our work, shadowing an illustrator or interviewing artists as a few examples.
